Eduard Folayang teams up with PCC’s Intramurals 2019 opening
Pines City Colleges commenced Intramurals 2019 with the theme “Going beyond
sports” and set its 50th Founding Anniversary off the ground with Eduard
“Landslide” Foloyang on Monday, September 23 at PCC Covered Court.
Parade of School’s teaching and non-teaching staffs, teams and players, and the
mascots unfastened the opening of the event as Mr. Wendel Lahaylahay,
Entrance of Color Commander, set the Philippine and the PCC’s flag way in.
Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Abigail T. Bersamin delivered welcoming
remarks while Student Affairs and Guidance Services Office Head Mr. Jason P.
Belino Introduced Folayang as guest speaker with Vice President of
Administration Ms. Ma. Regina S. Prats for the awarding of token and certificate
to the guest speaker.
Team Lakay superstar spoke on the importance of values and discipline in life and
in sports. “Sport is a never-ending journey of discipline. We as Teamlakay also
believe that values are the most important thing that you can be able to teach.
Self-discipline is a very important attribute that all of us must posses so that we
can be able to achieve our vision,” Folayang said.
Athletic Coordinator Mr. Quirico L. Bambico officially declared the opening of
intramurals as different colleges pulled their own flags with energy and lit the
torch by the Basketball Men Team Captain Johnray Pinkihan with BBEAL Lawn
Tennis 3 rd Placer Alpreah Albo who conducted the oath taking of sportsmanship.
Mr. Michael Banaña, Ms. Elizabeth Cedo, and Ms. Diane Acosta-Corpuz also came
for the event as judges to Mascot and Cheer dance competition where College of
Nursing got the first place in Mascot Competition and the College of Dentistry as
Cheer Dance first-placer, College of Nursing at second place, and College of
Pharmacy at third place.
