Eucharistic Celebration with Fr. Villapa begins
PPC’s 50 th Founding Anniversary Events
Rev. Fr. Benedict “Benny” Villapa, St. John Don Bosco Church Baguio
parish priest, lead a mass in Pines City Colleges Covered Court on October 1,
2019 as part of the Eucharistic Celebration of the school’s 50 th Founding
Anniversary and its events.
Father Villapa while the mass gave his warmest congratulatory message
to all the employees and students who became part of its 50-year and
mentioned his gratitude for playing a role on the said celebration.
Anniversary’s Motorcade afterwards navigated La Trinidad, Benguet and
Baguio City’s main roads by the school’s colleges, offices, organizations, PCC
Alumni Association Inc., and other “PCC family” folks next to their wheels.
More occasion’s activities followed.
PCC employees and students also took an early hour for the
anniversary’s first event “Fun Run 2019” at 4:30 in the morning and run the
highway routing from Benitez Hall Area at Teacher’s Camp to PCC Campus. Mr.
Joel P. Soriano of Senior High School ranked the Fun Run race as 1 st placer in
the Employee Division for Men and Dr. Arthuro L. Baday from College of
Dentistry as 2 nd placer; Ms. Camille Cayabas from Senior High School as 1 st
placer, Student Affairs and Guidance Services Office (SAGSO) Officer Ms.
Chermalin Cassiw as 2 nd placer, Maintenance Department Staff Ms. Laarni
Cabutaje as 3 rd placer in the Employee Division for Women. Two Senior High
School students won the race in the Student Division for Men where Benjamin
Ramos took 1 st place and Baquilan got 2 nd place; Ahmed Quiad got 3 rd place.
Cristy Paculan from College of Medical Laboratory Science raced first in the
Student Division for Women, Ulymhee Ulayan as 2 nd placer, and Krizza Awal as
3 rd placer.
Colleges and Departmental Organizations which were PCC Society of
Nursing Students, Physical Therapy Students’ Association (PTSA), Organization
of Future Pharmacists (OFPHARM), Association of Respiratory Therapy
Students (ARTS), and the Supreme Student Government from Senior High
arranged their own booth to accommodate shoppers in the Opening of the
Trade Fair at ESBC-Annex Ground. Institutional Organizations which were Pines
Shield, Supreme Student Council (SSC), and Pines City Colleges Academic
Scholars Organization (PICCASO) also assembled their booth. All the booth
participants took part on the poll determining the award for the “Cleanest
Trade Fair Booth” where College of Pharmacy’s Booth received the said award.
College of Pharmacy was also awarded for the “Eco-Friendly Trade Fair Booth”
evaluated by SAGSO and “Best in Customer Service” award receiving the
highest number of satisfactory rates from the booth shoppers. Different
Colleges also prepared the Opening of College Exhibits at ESBC Building 4 th
College of Pharmacy was awarded as “Best in Bulletin Board” from the
evaluation conducted on the same day. Judges who evaluated the bulletin
boards were Human Resource Head Ms. Rosanna M. Manlongat, Marketing
Staff Ms. Kristel Nolle M. Abubo, and Registrar Head Mrs. Ma. Teresa Q.
Padlan. All the colleges, Senior High School, and 3 Institutional Organizations
which were Pines Shield, SSC, and the PICCASO finalized their own Bulletin
Board as participation.
